Volunteer: Dementia Cafe Supporter, Northamptonshire
These cafes are attended by people with dementia and their carers and are an opportunity to meet in a social setting and have access to information, advice and support. The cafe provides social interaction, support and the exchange of information and experiences. Volunteers are needed to help set up the venue, meet and greet those attending and help facilitate the activities on the day. Good communication skills are important as well as an ability to show empathy and support.
