Russell Grant brings clairvoyance to Barmouth

Published 28 August 2007

Russell Grant and Simon Cowell are supporting a charity evening of clairvoyance and psychic art with Su Wood and Janet Parker.

Top astrologer and Alzheimer's Society ambassador, Russell Grant will be hosting an evening of clairvoyance and psychic art in aid of the Alzheimer's Society next Thursday (30 August, 2007) at 8pm at the Dragon Theatre in Barmouth.

The X Factor Simon Cowell is lending his support by donating CDs from some of his top acts (including Leona, Ray Quinn and Westlife) as raffle prizes.

Russell is lending support to Su Wood and Janet Parker, teachers and course organisers at the Arthur Findlay College (Essex) which promotes the Advancement of Spiritualism and Psychic Sciences.

Proceeds from ticket sales will help the Alzheimer's Society's research for a cure into dementia. Funds raised through the raffle will help support branches in Wales, the leading charity for people with dementia and their carers.

Russell Grant says,

'I'm proud to be an ambassador for the Alzheimer's Society. Alzheimer's is more than a vile and vicious disease. It robs people of their identity, spirit and soul like no other does. Seeing how it affected my grandmother broke my heart.'

Jo Swinhoe, director of fundraising at the Alzheimer's Society says,

'Russell's commitment to the Alzheimer's Society is fantastic. As our ambassador he lends his support and encouragement to every person with dementia or carer he meets. As a charity we rely on the generosity of people such as Russell to help us lead the fight against dementia.'
