URGENT: Getting dementia on the global agenda
Published 9 June 2011
Alzheimer's Disease International and Alzheimer's Society are urgently asking for your help to get dementia on the agenda of global organisations including the UN and World Health Organisation.
In September there will be a high-level meeting at the UN on non-communicable diseases. Despite cancer, diabetes and heart and lung diseases being on the agenda, dementia is not included.
- In 2010, an estimated 35.6 million people lived with dementia worldwide.
If you want to make sure that dementia is discussed you must fill in the online form by the end of tomorrow (June 10).
