Today is the start of Volunteer Week - be inspired to get involved

Published 1 June 2011

Today is the start of Volunteer Week and here at Alzheimer’s Society we have over 5,400 active volunteers who are absolutely vital to the organisation.

Without their help and commitment we could not deliver our wide range of services, campaigns, fundraising activities or help assess research grant applications - to name just a few of the activities they undertake. Through our volunteers passion, enthusiasm and experience we are able to reach so many people.

Volunteers Week (1 - 7 June 2011) is an ideal opportunity to say a special and very public thank you to every single volunteer. Around the regions and countries many celebratory events have already been arranged.
