North East reality TV prediction star holds Ghost Hunt event in aid of Alzheimer's Society

Published 4 April 2011

North East Reality TV Predictor Dean 'Midas' Maynard is hosting a ghost hunt with a difference in aid of Alzheimer's at the Manor House Hotel, West Auckland on Friday 8 April.

The event will be held at the 'very haunted' Manor House Hotel in West Auckland, County Durham. The hotel is a grade one listed building built on foundations which date back to the 12th Century, it is steeped in history and reputed to have been Henry VIII's hunting lodge. Dean is a fan of the Scream film series and with Scream 4 being released on 15 April he has decided to organise a night with a difference.

Dean said,

'The event will run like a ghost hunt mixed with a murder mystery night. As soon as I announced the event, the tickets went straight away, the manor is spooky enough without having to contemplate the Scream man hiding in the shadows'.

'I am hoping the event will raise loads of money for the Alzheimer's Society as the mother of a good friend of mine has sadly been affected by this disease.'
