What does an Airline Pilot, an Event Manager, an Accountant and a Business Development Manager have in common?
They are a bunch of four secret adrenalin junky friends from Cambridgeshire who have signed up as a team to enter a fundraising challenge called the 'Drambuie Pursuit 2011'. Natalie Finnigan, Melissa Saggers, Adam Fernandes and James Mitchell,
otherwise known as 'Ardley Athletic' are hoping win the £2,500 for Alzheimer's Society;
"We have chosen to donate to the Alzheimer's Society as some of us have had family members and friends that have been affected by this degenerating disease. They do some great work not just for Alzheimer's sufferers, but for dementia as a whole as well. We felt this charity is often one of the forgotten ones that deserves more recognition"
The first part of the challenge is to be one of the top five teams in the public vote. Voting closes midday on Wednesday 16 March and it is a very close competition so please vote.
The second part of the challenge will involve nine different challenges over three days in the Scottish Highlands. These are archery, kayaking, a mountain run, rock climbing and abseiling, white water rafting, cross country mountain biking, racing buggies, a canoe race and finally, a city run through Inverness.
Alzheimer's Society would like to thank 'Ardely Athletic' for their support and we hope they get enough votes to take on the 'Drambuie Pursuit 2011'.
