Walk a marathon for dementia

Published 2 February 2011

Stonehenge

Last year Memory Walk Marathon was a huge success and raised over £120,000 for people living with dementia. Join us in 2011 for a walking marathon challenge.

This year, we are repeating the challenge and reversing the route, walking from the World Heritage site of Stonehenge to the standing stone circles at Avebury. Memory Walk Marathon South will take place on Sunday 4 September 2011.

New for 2011, we are also introducing Memory Walk Marathon North, an exciting walk from Hethpool to Holy Island, Northumberland. This is a challenging walk along St Cuthbert's Way, an ancient path where monks used to make pilgramages to the Holy Island. This event has the additional excitement of reaching Holy Island before the tide comes in!

You can now register for Memory Walk Marathon 2011 and take on a fantastic challenge of walking 26 miles through iconic British countryside. If you have any questions about these events, please do not hesitate to contact the Memory Walk team.
