Up to 400 walkers stepped out to help raise vital funds at the London Memory Walk yesterday, Sunday 26 September.
The event was held at the Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park in Lambeth.
The London event is part of Memory Walk, which is Alzheimer's Society's biggest fundraising event held every September in hundreds of locations across the country and sponsored by healthcare provider Simplyhealth.
Broadcaster and charity campaigner Tania said,
'It is such a great honour to have been asked to open the London Memory Walk and be surrounded by individuals who are committed to stepping up the fight against dementia.'
Jonathan Andrews, Head of Partnership commented,
'I'm absolutely delighted to see such a high level of support from the public at the London Memory Walk. Today is a clear indication of just how committed people are in helping us fight against dementia.'
This particular walk has a history of attracting a strong public response and we are confident that a substantial amount of funds have been raised today to help make a difference to the lives of Londoners living with dementia.
Thanks to everyone who came and supported us - it was a fantastic day.
