Alzheimer’s Society are delighted to launch our Charity of the Year partnership with Nestlé UK this week.
Nestle have set a fantastic £250,000 target and their staff have already kick-started their fundraising with the Bupa Great Yorkshire Run, a Three Peaks Challenge and a 100km cycle!
Paul Grimwood, CEO & Chairman for Nestlé, commented:
'Alzheimer's Society does tremendous work supporting the 750,000 people with dementia and those who care for them. The money that we will raise will help fund services such as their National Dementia Helpline and towards the research into the cause and a cure for dementia. I am really looking forward to our partnership and encourage everyone at Nestlé to get involved and help us support the inspiring work of Alzheimer's Society'
Jo Swinhoe, Fundraising and Marketing Director for Alzheimer's Society said:
'Alzheimer's Society is delighted to be Nestlé's Charity of the Year 2010/11. The Society relies on voluntary donations to continue its vital work. The support of organisations like Nestlé helps the charity champion the rights of people living with dementia and the millions of people who care for them. The funds raised will make a real difference to the 750,000 people living with dementia in the UK. Thank you for your support.'
Nestlé staff are planning to support Alzheimer's Society by joining in with Memory Walks around the country, participating in treks and running events, and with their annual gala dinner.
