Seasalt and Alzheimer’s Society are 'Casting off' for Dementia
Published 2 September 2010
Seasalt knitting shops launch the GO KNIT! charity knitting project to support Alzheimer's Society.
So what's Go Knit! all about?
Volunteers and customers are invited to hand-knit Christmas decorations which will go on sale at Seasalt shops from the end of Oct and over the festive period, with the creations being sold to support Alzheimer's Society.
Get involved
We are looking for groups of knitters throughout the county to get clacking with their needles and create some festive decorations which will be displayed and sold by Seasalt shops.
If you think your group would like to get involved or you are a knitting whiz and would like to lead a knitting session please contact helen.rowe@seasaltcornwall.co.uk for details.
Seasalt
After 28 years of the Chadwick family opening their first shop in
Penzance, Seasalt has now grown to having 11 stores in Cornwall, Devon
and Guernsey, a website and hundreds of stockists across the UK and has
just been awarded Britain's 'Best Organic Retailer'.
Seasalt were inspired after visiting a Memory Cafe in Helston to see the work the Alzheimer's Society do and the difference they make to people living with dementia in the community.
