Photography exhibition in aid of Alzheimer's Society

Published 16 October 2009

Sam Johnson, a photographer from Bedfordshire, is exhibiting photographs from his collection 'There are no memories of you here' with proceeds coming to Alzheimer's Society.

The exhibitions are being held at Gallery 320, near Brick lane in Bethnal Green, London www.gallery320.co.uk from 4 - 30 November. The exhibition is part of Photomonth international photography festival 2009 www.photomonth.org.

The second exhibition will be at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on King's Road, Chelsea, London from 20 December until 2 January 2010.

Sam said,

'The work is a look at the relationship between landscapes and the memories they evoke after the passing of a loved one. As such, and after the recent passing of a family member to the disease it seems only fitting that your charity is the one I would like to work with.'

Sam's work can be viewed online www.samjohnsonphotography.com. Sam is also a finalist in the British Journal of Photography's 'Project Assistance Award'

It is also presently longlisted in the prestigious Terry O'Neill award 2009 and has previously won the North Laine Photography's annual competition in Brighton, and been an exhibited finalist in the Warwickshire Art Open.

Good luck Sam!
