Great North Run
Not only did we have a host of celebrities come out to support us but 3,500 Stampeders joined Alzheimer's Society running team to take part in the Great North Run.
We even had one of our Stampeders video the race whilst running and interviewing people along the way. Watch the video here
2009 Apprentice winner Yasmina Siadatan and actress Sian Reeves together with cast members from BBC Three's new TV series the Lunch Monkeys all headed up to Newcastle
on Sunday
Yasmina said:
'I felt privileged to be able to run the Bupa Great North Run to help raise awareness and funds for other families affected by dementia and to have lead Alzheimer's Society's team, Bupa's nominated charity for the Bupa Great Run series, to victory!'

Ben Nevis Challenge
It was a tough but rewarding challenge made considerably more difficult by the bad weather conditions - wind hail and rain!

Thanks for a great weekend - it was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life but I am so proud of myself that I have done it and am so glad we raised so much money.
Hopefully people will be able to collect even more in when they tell everyone their tales of the terrible weather! Didn't think I would make it at all and have just come back from working a night shift so am pretty proud ofd myself! Hope you are feeling ok.
Thanks to everyone involved - we are really proud of your achievement.
Once again we are grateful for your support and achievements - it's fantastic to see so many people getting involved.
100,000 people develop dementia every year in the uk - that's one person every 5.3 minutes. Help us lead the fight against dementia.
Thanks for a great weekend - it was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life but I am so proud of myself that I have done it and am so glad we raised so much money.
