Flying high in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society
Published 1 January 2006
Teenager, Charley Riley, 18, from Hampton Hargate, Peterborough, is planning on flying high in March 2006, when she tries a freefall parachute jump to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.
'I've always wanted to skydive and because I can do it for the Alzheimer's Society it makes it all the more worthwhile. I'm doing it in memory of my grandad, who is deeply missed by my whole family. I want to make people aware that this disease currently can't be cured and that we need to do all we can to fund research into finding a cure.'
Charley is hoping to raise £400 for the Alzheimer's Society.
The Alzheimer's Society is currently looking for more adventurous people to do a sponsored parachute jump and raise much needed funds. No experience is necessary and there are four different types of jump to choose from. A minimum amount of sponsorship is required in order to jump for free.
