Sally Lindsay, actress and Alzheimer’s Society ambassador wins Celebrity Mastermind raising money for Alzheimer’s Society (Manchester Branch).
We were delighted to see well-loved actress and society Ambassador, Sally Lindsay, storm to victory on Celebrity Mastermind this New Year's Eve.
The former Coronation Street actress, who recently voiced Piella Bakewell in the latest Wallace and Gromit adventure, raised money for the Manchester branch of Alzheimer's Society by answering questions on the Carry On films.
Sally commented:
'I can't believe it!! Sitting in that black chair was possibly the most terrifying experience of my life! I'm still in shock. All those hours watching Carry On films were so worthwhile. I'm thrilled that through winning Celebrity Mastermind I could help Alzheimer's Society Manchester Branch support people with dementia.'
Sue Clarke, from the Manchester Branch of Alzheimer's Society, was also extremely pleased with the result:
'We are absolutely over the moon about Sally's win on Celebrity Mastermind. Alzheimer's Society needs to raise money to care for people today and to find a cure for tomorrow. The money Sally has won for us will really help make a difference to the lives of those affected by dementia in the Manchester area.'
