T-shirts help tackle dementia

Luxury fashion house LK Bennett has launched an exclusive range of charity T-shirts featuring designs by the artist William Scott, to support the Alzheimer's Society.

Broadcaster and charity campaigner Tania Bryer joined designer Linda Bennett to launch the T-shirts at LK Bennett's flagship store in London on Wednesday 7 May.LK Bennett, Tania Bryer and William Scott

The iconic William Scott T-shirt feature two designs: the serene 'Single Blue Pear', oil on canvas painting, created in 1986 and the 'Single Fish with Shadow' oil on canvas created in 1983.

William Scot CBE, RA, the acclaimed 20th Century British artist, ended his life with Alzheimer's disease.

Jo Swinhoe, Director of Fundraising and Marketing, says,

As a charity, the Alzheimer's Society relies on the generosity of the public to help provide support, care and advice to people with dementia and their carers across the UK.

We are extremely grateful to LK Bennett and the William Scott Foundation for their generosity, which is helping us reach out to new people in a different and creative way.

Women and Men's T-shirts are priced at £39 and children's are £25. Twenty five percent of sales will go directly to the Alzheimer's Society.

The William Scott Foundation actively supports people with dementia and their carers by donating all royalties, reproduction and other fees to the Alzheimer's Society.
