Does your MP support our call for a national strategy on dementia?

Last year the Alzheimer's Society challenged a team of researchers to do something that hadn't been done in Britain before - provide the most up to date evaluation of dementia statistics.
The Dementia UK report published on the 27 February showed that dementia costs the UK over £17bn per year. The research estimates that there will be a million people living with dementia by 2021 and 1.7 million by 2051- an increase of 38% over the next 15 years and 154% over the next 45 years.
But is the government planning ahead to meet the needs of people with dementia, their families and carers?
What can you do?
Contact your local MP and ask them to support a parliamentary motion that has been tabled- Early Day Motion (EDM) 991: Cost of Dementia. The EDM calls on the government to act on the seven recommendations in the Dementia UK report and make dementia the public policy priority that it deserves to be.
