Carer of the year award

She has nominated one of her most elderly carers for the 'Carer of the Year' award.

'The good news is that he has got through to the last 4 carers locally! As a result, he'll be featured on the Yorkshire local news programme called 'Calendar' (6pm). There will be four programmes featuring one of the carers each evening from Monday, 17th September. I'm afraid I don't know which evening our carer will be featured.

We're delighted in Ryedale and Whitby, not just for the recognition the carer will get, but also because the Branch is new and hoping to attract new people to its services. The publicity and increased awareness locally will be very welcome.'
