Society seeks to influences debate at the political party conferences

The Society has joined the Health Hotel for the first time this year. The Health Hotel is a mini-conference that takes place at the three main annual political party conferences. Over 30 high-profile organisations are members of the Health Hotel- each with a strong interest in health policy - who work together to host events that encourage debate about the top issues in health.

The political party conferences presents an important opportunity to reach the political establishment because almost every party representative - from MPs to council leaders - will attend and join in to decide the party's policy agenda. By having a strong presence at these conferences, the Alzheimer's Society seeks to raise awareness of dementia and ensure the priorities of people with dementia and their carers are debated.
