Chinese research into ginseng should be treated with caution

Researchers at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine have found that the herbal remedy ginseng can help improve memory in stroke patients with dementia.
However UK experts have said that the findings should be treated with caution.
Dr Richard Harvey, director of research at the Alzheimer's Society, said,
'This is dangerous science that is not easily interpreted. It is not at all valid to say ginseng improves memory because they compared people given ginseng to people given a completely different drug.'
