Midlands Co-op staff pledge to raise £100,000 for the Alzheimer's Society
Published 5 February 2007
Staff at Midlands Co-operative Society have voted the Alzheimer’s Society as their new Charity of the Year for 2007.
Midlands Co-op has over 400 stores across the Midlands, including supermarkets, department stores, funeralhomes, garages, travel shops and florists - and all their efforts will be focused on raising money for the Alzheimer's Society throughout 2007.
Cyrrhian Macrae, Midlands Co-op's Head of Community & Co-operative Affairs, says:
'As with all previous campaigns, our partnership with the Alzheimer's Society looks set to be very successful, with lots of fundraising planned for the year ahead and I'm confident that we will easily exceed our £100,000 target.'
We would like to extend our thanks to the staff at Midlands Co-op for choosing us as their charity of the year, and helping to raise funds for us.
Alzheimer's Society staff and volunteers in the area will be getting involved to make this a partnership to remember, supported by the regional and corporate fundraising teams.
