Alzheimer’s Society and the Alzheimer’s Research Trust’s comment on MRC Centre for Neurodegenerative Research
'We welcome the establishment of the new Medical Research Centre for Neurodegenerative Research. By funding the centre, the MRC has recognised the importance of research into Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
The centre's remit is to bring together research and clinical practice. It represents a significant new investment in neurodegenerative research and will hopefully lead to more treatments for the thousands of people in the UK who have dementia.
The Alzheimer's Society and the Alzheimer's Research Trust both look forward to working with the centre to help us understand more about dementia, and continue the search for a cure.'
