Vanessa Redgrave and other award-winning actors donate exclusive memorabilia to raise funds for Alzheimer's Society

Actress Ruta Gedmintas has rallied many of her famous friends to donate signed memorabilia to raise money in the fight against dementia.
Award winning actresses Vanessa Redgrave (currently starring in Call the Midwife) and Vicky McClure (This Is England), as well as actor and director Dexter Fletcher (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) have all donated items are being sold on eBay now.
Ruta (@Mighty_Minto), best known for her roles in BBC dramas The Tudors, Lip Service and The Borgias, has already raised over £3,000 through the auction of similar celebrity items.
All proceeds are being donated to Alzheimer's Society and there is free postage on all items to UK, Europe and the US.'My family and some of my dearest friends have been affected by dementia. Originally I had just a few props and signed scripts from some of the shows I'd been in, but once I started asking my co-stars and friends in the business, it seemed that everyone wanted to chip in! I was so pleased to see that the items have raised a significant amount of money for Alzheimer's Society and I'm hoping this new selection will do the same.'
