Maeve Magee’s December Dander in Country Down in aid of Alzheimer's Society

Published 7 December 2012

Young supporter, Maeve Magee from Ardglass is raising money in memory of her granny, Alice this Christmas by walking 3 miles (approx) in her local area.

This Saturday 8 December in Ardglass, Maeve Magee and her family will be fundraising in memory of a loved one. The walk starts at 2.00pm from Heights Bar at Green Heights Corner then onto Crew Road, Ross Road, Ballydock Road before heading back into Ardglass. If you are interested in having a wee 'dander' this weekend instead of the Christmas shopping then you will be most welcome to join. Maeve says;

'I am raising money for the Alzheimer's Society because three and a half weeks ago my granny passed away with Alzheimer's and in remembrance of her I want to raise money for the charity. I want to be able to help people who are suffering from the disease. My target is to raise as much money as I can so please donate if you can.'

Please lend your support by visiting her Justgiving page.

If you would like to get involved in fundraising in your local area we have lots of ideas for fundraising individually or there are many events that you can sign up to. All funds raised will go towards supporting our ambition of a world without dementia
