nicholas careyThe Board of Trustees and senior management team have now begin the search for somebody to take on this absolutely crucial role.

The Society is looking for a 'truly exceptional leader' to steer us through our next phase of development.

A special website has been set up to advise and inform potential candidates. The website contains detailed information about the role of the Chair, and the skills and experience that candidates should be able to demonstrate. There's also a recruitment timetable, as well as information about the Society's work and governance structure.

Our future Chair will have already demonstrated significant levels of achievement in developing large, diverse and complex organisations.

They will be an astute operator and an effective networker with a robust understanding of leadership, governance, and enhancing organisational performance.

They will also have both the credibility and empathy to champion the rights of everyone with dementia and those who care for them.

If you know somebody who has the strategic vision, dynamism and passion we're seeking, please make sure they hear about this exciting opportunity to lead the Alzheimer's Society into a new era.
