Ultimate Merseybeat show to mark the end of Radio Merseyside's Alzheimer's Society Befriending Appeal

Mike Byrne guests as rocker Jerry Lee Lewis in The Ultimate Merseybeat Show to raise money for Radio Merseyside’s Alzheimer’s Society Befriending Appeal.
Station star Billy Butler, is presenting the show at the Liverpool Empire featuring Mike Pender's Searchers, The Swinging Blue Jeans (pictured), The Merseybeat and the original Fourmost
And there's more with a touch of Elvis and a tribute to the Cavern in the big bash at 7.30pm, Saturday, June 23, which promises to be a highlight of the year long appeal.
Billy said:
'It's a wonderful once in a lifetime show where all who lived through the magical Merseybeat era can relive those great years with the artists who helped create that magic!
'And if you missed it here's your chance to find out all about the music your parents raved about!'
Anne-Marie Cagliarini, Alzheimer's Society locality manager, said:
'It is going to be a fabulous night and a fitting climax to a great twelve months.
'As a result of the appeal the Society's Befrienders are already making a huge difference to people with dementia and this will be a further massive boost.'
