The Chelsea FC Foundation is helping fundraise for Alzheimer’s Society during Dementia Awareness Week™ (Sunday 20 May – Saturday 26 May) through the online auction of a football signed by the team.
The team kindly donated the signed ball to help raise vital funds to support people with dementia and their carers.
Simon Taylor, head of the Chelsea FC Foundation said:
'The Chelsea FC Foundation is proud to support Alzheimer's Society and has donated a signed football from our players to be auctioned online during Dementia Awareness Week™. We're delighted to be able to help raise money for such a worthy cause and provide much-needed funds to fight against the condition.'
The auction for the signed football will close on Thursday 31 May, with all proceeds being donated to Alzheimer's Society. Potential bidders should visit the eBay auction page.
Jeremy Hughes, Chief Executive of Alzheimer's Society said:
'We'd like to thank the Chelsea FC Foundation for their kind donation and for supporting us during Dementia Awareness Week™. The money raised from the auction will help us support people to live well with dementia today and find a cure for tomorrow. So Chelsea fans, get bidding.'
