Ash manager to run the marathon for Alzheimer's Society

Music band manager, Dave Cronen, has swapped the tour bus for running shoes as he takes on the Virgin London Marathon in aid of Alzheimer's Society.
Following on from the Alzheimer's Society Belfast Music Benefit, which raised in excess of £30,000 last November, the band's efforts to raise money and awareness for people living with dementia continues this year with Dave taking on the Marathon.
Dave, who also managers Howler and The King Blues, said:
'I'm running this year's London Marathon with the help of a Golden Bond from the Alzheimer's Society in memory of my Nan, Nancy Gates, and Tim Wheeler's father, George Wheeler, who both passed away after suffering from dementia. Plus, I always run in memory of my Mum, Phoebe Ann Alderson, who died of secondary breast cancer in 1999.
Last year, thanks to Tim Wheeler's idea to hold a benefit show at the Ulster Hall, I learnt so much about the Alzheimer's Society and the incredible work that they do. Their care and support for people with dementia and their families and friends is simply invaluable.'
You can help Dave reach his target by donating online or by texting CRON66 followed by either £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 to 70070.
Good luck Dave!
