Alzheimer's Society celebrates memories this Christmas

The Society's Yorkshire fundraisers have launched a new appeal this Christmas to celebrate the importance of our memories.

In the run up to the festive period the team started thinking about their own most cherished memories and decided to set up a new JustGiving page so that they, along with supporters of Alzheimer's Society, could share their special memories whilst raising vital funds for people living with dementia, their families and carers.

Simon Wallace, Area Fundraising Manager for Yorkshire said:

'For most of us, Christmas is a time that we remember fondly. A time of year to build cherished memories with friends, family and loved ones. And for this reason, we wanted to do something to celebrate just how precious our memories are.'

On the 'Memories at Christmas' page, you can publish any special memory for others to see - be it of Christmas, a loved one, or an absent friend. After making your donation, simply choose the option to send us a message, and your special memory will be published on the page for others to see.

There have already been some wonderful memories donated, and the team in Yorkshire hope to have a long page of treasured memories to show in the New Year.
