Win a Chance to Meet Bond Girl Britt Ekland!
Published 23 November 2011
International movie star and Alzheimer's Society Patron, Britt Ekland, is offering fans a perfect way to mark the start of the festive season.
She has 5 pairs of tickets available to win for the Theatre Royal Windsor's production of Sleeping Beauty on 13 December 2011.
Alzheimer's Society is holding a silent auction for the 5 pairs of tickets and the highest bidder will be treated to a personal one to one meeting with Britt after the performance.
Britt has chosen to support the charity as she cared for her mother who had dementia. She has since campaigned for many years to raise awareness and funds to help people living with dementia and their carers.
Britt's many international film credits include the critically acclaimed Get Carter and the cult classic The Wicker Man, as well as appearing as Bond Girl, Mary Goodnight in the 1974 James Bond blockbuster The Man with the Golden Gun.
Britt Ekland, actress and Alzheimer's Society Patron, said:
'When my mother first became ill the word Alzheimer's was not as widely understood as it is today. It is thanks to the work and efforts of Alzheimer's Society that this word is now recognised and the taboos are gradually being lifted. I'm excited to be offering my support once again to Alzheimer's Society and looking forward to meeting fans and supporters at the Theatre Royal's performance of Sleeping Beauty'
For your chance to win a pair of tickets to meet Britt and see her star in Sleeping Beauty, email britt-tickets@alzheimers.org.uk with your name, telephone number and how much you are bidding. The secret auction will close at 5pm on Sunday 11 December, with the winners being notified on the morning of 12 December.
