The Buffaloes of Northern Ireland present Alzheimer’s Society with a cheque for £13,500

Published 27 October 2011

All seven provinces of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes came together to fundraise for Alzheimer’s Society as their chosen Charity of the Year.

At the Grand Lodge of Northern Ireland this week, the final total of £13,500 was presented to Alzheimer's Society. This was raised by a full calendar of events and collections throughout the previous year. Caroline Greer, Alzheimer's Society said:

'We are absolutely delighted with the impressive final total raised for Alzheimer's Society in Northern Ireland. On behalf of the charity I would like to express our sincere thanks to the Buffs - the money will enable the Society to continue providing services for people living with dementia across the Province and champion their rights as well as the thousands of people who care for them.'

Alzheimer's Society relies heavily on the generosity of groups like RAOB to help support people to live well with dementia today and fund research to find a cure for tomorrow.
