Our online shop offers Christmas cards and gifts, branded goods and publications. New this year are daily living aids to assist people living with dementia and their carers.
The range of products on offer are mainly based from feedback from people living with dementia, carers and Alzheimer's Society staff.
Carla Madrilejo, Assistive Technology Project Executive says,
'We aim to provide products that assist in maintaining independence for people living with dementia in the comforts of their own homes for as long as possible.'
Carla has been heading the assistive technology project within Alzheimer's Society, working with senior lecturers of the Occupational Therapy Department at London South Bank University, sourcing suitable products.
The daily living aids range includes:
- Wall clock and day clock to assist in time, date/ day orientation
- Memo minder and magic sticky notes to assist in remembering things to do
- Self-care products such as No Rinse shampoo, body wash and wipes to aid in personal hygiene; scoop colander and silicone knife, and crockery to assist in food preparation
- Leisure products such as sing along CD and songbook, musical quiz, picture books, jigsaw puzzles, sensory cushion
