Terry Pratchett's 'The Fifth Elephant' adapted by Stephen Briggs

A theatre production of the classic Terry Pratchett novel 'The Fifth Elephant' directed by Christine Moran.

With a cacophony of dwarfs, vampires, werewolves, the odd troll and a talking dog, 'The Fifth Elephant' promises to be great fun for audiences of all ages.

We'd like to invite you to the Gala Performance on Tuesday 22 January 2013 where you can enjoy this wonderful production at Progress Theatre with all the proceeds from the tickets sold on this evening going to Alzheimer's Society.

Sam Vimes is a man on the run. Yesterday he was a duke, a chief of police and the ambassador to the mysterious, fat-rich country of Uberwald. Now he has nothing but his native wit and the gloomy trousers of Uncle Vanya. It's snowing, it's freezing, and if he can't make it through the forest to civilization there's going to be a terrible war. But there are monsters on his trail. They're bright. They're fast. They're werewolves - and they're catching up. Sam Vimes is out of time, out of luck and already out of breath...

Portsmouth Lord Mayor's Appeal Disco Event

Put on your dancing shoes and enjoy an evening to remember.

The Portsmouth Lord Mayor Appeal is hosting a disco at the Portsmouth Post Office!

Money raised from the event will be donated to Alzheimer's Society and Portsmouth Cancer Care.

Nightingale School of Dance and Drama present 'Winter Showtime'

Nightingale School of Dance and Drama put on their dancing shoes to lead the fight against dementia.

Time: 14.30 - 19.30

Location: Thordern Hall, Winchester Road, Chandler's Ford, Eastleigh, Hampshire SO53 2DW

Cost: Adult £8.50 Concession £6.50 Block booking (10+) £6 Family (1 adult / 1 child + 2 others) £27.50

Enjoy an evening of music and dance at Nightingale School of Dance and Drama's annual 'Winter Showtime' performance on Saturday 19 January.

Tap your feet to the music and feel inspired by ballet, latin and tap dancing performed by dancers from 3 years to 21 years and over.

All raised proceeds from this event will be donated to Alzheimer's Society.

There will be two performances at Thorndern Hall: a matinee performance at 2.30pm, and an evening performance at 7.30pm.
