Britannia

Britannia staff and customers across the country raised a staggering £400,000 for Alzheimer's Society.

Bob Dixon and chief executive, Neville Richardson

Bob Dixon, Britannia's Corporate Charity Sponsor, speaks about our partnership;

'I am extremely proud of the success of the Britannia and Alzheimer's Society corporate partnership. Since launching our corporate charity in April 2008 we have seen an incredible amount of support from both our staff and our members.

With the ongoing support of Alzheimer's Society and our team of dedicated charity champions, we have  pulled together and the results speak for themselves.

In addition to the money we raised, our corporate partnership has encouraged our staff to exceed their own expectations in terms of enthusiasm and motivation. The different events and activities we have been involved in over the last twelve months has been extensive and in some cases astonishing.

Activities have included cake sales, pub quizzes and fancy dress events; car washes, talent contests and pop gigs. More adventurous activities have included the Lands End to John a Groats bike ride and the London Marathon, but the most memorable of all would have to be the 'Men that do' calendar featuring some of Britannia's senior management in their 'birthday suits'.

Here at Britannia we pride ourselves on being an ethical and socially responsible organisation. Alzheimer's Society have played a significant part in this over the last twelve months and we are so proud to have been able to support them as they lead the fight against dementia.'
