This workshop will enable participants to learn about the details of Enabling which is an observation and evaluation approach. Participants will learn how to capture the lived experience of people with dementia in terms of seeing, hearing and feeling the experience.
The Methodology uses a successful qualitative audit method which can be used in regular reflective practice sessions to change the culture of a care setting. By the end of this workshop participants will be able to undertake a qualitative observation back in the work setting.
'Observation of staff is eye opening, this course gave me an understanding of this qualitative approach and highlighted changes l could make in my own home.'Senior Care Worker
