Organising a quiz night

Organising a quiz night takes a bit of preparation but it’s a great way to bring people together and lots of fun! You could hold a general knowledge quiz, or come up with something a bit different with a theme to all your questions. Get friends and family to help out with jobs such as quiz master and scorer.

As well as getting people to pay an entry fee, you can also have other fundraising activities at the event, such as a game of Heads or Tails or a raffle halfway through the quiz.

How to get started

Below are the basic steps to get you started with organising your charity quiz night, but we also have more detailed information.

  1. Find a venue and date – you could look at taking over a local pub for an evening, or you could look at church halls, social clubs or even your workplace.
  2. Promote your event – let everyone know about the quiz and the size of the teams, and make sure everyone brings their friends along too.
  3. Write some questions – websites like www.quizzing.co.uk can help you. Try and mix it up with things like picture and sound rounds too.

All that’s left is to hold the event itself, raise lots of money and then send it to us!
