Working for us
Alzheimer's Society is a membership organisation with over 2,000 employees and nearly 7,000 volunteers, working together to build a better world for people with dementia and the people who care for them. We believe that people affected by dementia have the right to high quality services and support, and we work to achieve this through a combination of campaigning and awareness raising, research, training, information provision and the delivery of our own services.
We have offices across England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. Productive partnerships between employees and volunteers drive our work at every level, with all our people bringing essential skills, perspectives and experience to the Society to help ensure we have the maximum possible impact within local communities.
We have a wide variety of roles within the Society; across our services this includes local administration support, Day Centre Management, Dementia Advice, and group activities such as Singing for the Brain. Functional teams range from Finance, HR, Marketing and Project Management, to Volunteering Development and Helpline Advice. We also have dedicated teams working on Fundraising, Policy and Campaigning, Events and Research. If you want to get involved, visit our current opportunities page to see what's available right now.

- challenge ourselves and others to question the status quo, be pioneering, and embrace change
- aspire to excellence in everything we do
- always act with integrity and treat everyone with respect, dignity and fairness
- enable others to make a meaningful contribution and realise their potential.

Employee Forum
Our Employee Forum offers an effective way for employees to contribute their experiences, views and opinions towards the development of the Society. There are Local Employee Forums for each area of the Society. Employee Forum members act on behalf of all the employees in their area, finding out what people think about important developments in the Society and sharing this with the rest of the Employee Forum. Members also contribute their own knowledge and ideas to a range of important issues in order to help the Society find the best way to move forward.
Welcome Day
We run a Welcome Day for all our employees to attend within three months of starting their role. We want to welcome new people to the Society and give them a chance to meet people from across the organisation, including some of the Society's leaders and senior managers.
During the day, there are opportunities to network and get involved in lively discussion and debate. Different teams showcase how they contribute to achieving the Society's aims to help employees find out about the different areas of our work, and understand the Society's structure, and how their role relates to others across the Society.
