Our partnership with Sunrise Senior Living

We are delighted to announce that Sunrise Senior Living has decided to sponsor Alzheimer's Society's Research Network for the next year, starting from September 2012.

Sunrise Senior Living provides unique, resident-centred community living designed to encourage independence and freedom of choice for residents. Through the partnership, Sunrise will help facilitate the unique and valuable contribution that people with dementia make to Alzheimer's Society research work. This includes Alzheimer's Society's Annual Research Conference in October, which will be held in Leeds. The conference brings together over a hundred Research Network volunteers and leading researchers to discuss the latest developments in dementia research and to learn from each other's experiences. This year's conference is set to be the biggest ever, thanks to the generous support of Sunrise Senior Living.

Jeremy Hughes, Chief Executive of Alzheimer's Society said:

'We are hugely grateful to Sunrise Senior Living for their support. Alzheimer's Society invests money into research to develop treatments to help people with dementia live well today and find a cure for tomorrow. Sunrise Senior Living's sponsorship will help us continue to put people with dementia, their families and carers at the very heart of everything we do.'

Guy Geller, Head of Sunrise Senior Living UK added:

'If we hope to find a cure for dementia it is essential that we invest in research and share experience and expertise. Through Sunrise Senior Living's sponsorship of Alzheimer's Society we are delighted to be able to support the vital work of the Research Network.'
