Legacy events
Our legacy events are an opportunity for you to find out more about the work that we do, our vision for the future, and how you can help us achieve it.
Previous events have seen interesting and informative talks from Trustees of Alzheimer's Society, people with dementia sharing their experiences, and demonstrations of innovative Alzheimer's Society projects like Singing for the Brain
We will be holding several legacy events across the country in Winter 2012, as follows:
- Slimbridge Legacy Event - 6 December 2012- Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Gloucestershire
- London Legacy Event - 7 December 2012 - The Officers Mess, Wellington Barracks, London
- York Legacy Event - 7 December 2012 - Bishopthorpe Palace , Bishopthorpe, York
Our guest speakers will present the achievements of the Society, share our ambitious vision to defeat dementia and explain how gifts in Wills can make this possible. Guests can enjoy chatting with staff and volunteers from the Society over refreshments and will have an opportunity to explore the venue.
'Well balanced programme, nice atmosphere, good lunch! The subtle, low key approach worked better for us than a hard sell would have done.'
A supporter who attended a legacy event at Quarry Bank Mill, Wilmslow.
