Mary Rhodes

Biography

Mary Rhodes is the presenter of BBC Inside Out West Midlands.

For over 10 years Mary was the leading female sports presenter on BBC News. She is the only sport presenter to have appeared regularly on BBC One Breakfast, Six, Ten and weekend News bulletins. Mary was also the first female sport presenter on Radio 4's Today programme and a presenter and reporter for BBC One's Heaven and Earth show.

A tireless supporter of Alzheimer's Society, Mary has addressed conferences, visited dementia cafes and lauched our flagship fundraiser, Memory Walk, in the Birmingham area.

'I was thrilled to be asked to launch the Birmingham Memory Walk this year and it was great to see the support of everyone who attended today.

'Having Birmingham as a location for a flagship Memory Walk gives us the opportunity to really make a difference to people living with dementia in the city, and I know the walk will continue to grow in success.

'Memory Walk is an opportunity for the whole family to come together, have fun, and raise money to fight dementia, so I was pleased to be part of it.'
