Sarah Travers
Biography
Sarah is a presenter with the BBC Newsline team and currently presents a host of programmes and bulletins throughout the week in her native Northern Ireland.
Sarah understands the difficulties people with dementia and their families face as her father, Ian, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2008 at just 62 years of age.
Sarah is an active supporter of Alzheimer's Society and started the 2011 Memory Walk in Northern Ireland.
'When Alzheimer's arrived at our door, it changed our family and changed our lives. But it has brought us closer together and we are just so keen and eager to support dad and help him through what is going to be a difficult future.'
