Julian Fellowes

BiographyJulian Fellowes

Julian is an English actor, novelist and screenwriter who wrote the Oscar-winning film, Gosford Park as well as the hugely popular ITV 1 drama, Downton Abbey.

His acting credits include Monarch of the Glen, Our Friends in the North and the James Bond film, Tomorrow Never Dies.

Julian supports Alzheimer's Society in a number of ways, such as hosting events and supporting the Society's Drug Discovery Project.

'For me life is about the acquisition of memories. One of the cruellest aspects of Alzheimer's is that it steals the core of what life is about. It isn't stealing the ability to sing or swim, which we can cope without. It's stealing life itself.

With the growing number of people diagnosed with all forms of dementia and the increase in the numbers of carers, it will soon touch all our lives. I commend Alzheimer's Society for its work in helping all those affected by dementia.'
