The role of a Volunteer Co-ordinator is to assist with the recruitment, selection and placement of volunteers to meet local needs. In addition, the role helps to ensure volunteers receive adequate induction and support in the first few months of joining the Society.
There are three roles to choose from:
Volunteer Recruiter
The Volunteer recruiter role focuses on offering the right level of support to volunteers, especially those new to the Society.
Volunteer Supporter
The Volunteer supporter role focuses on the recruitment of a diverse range of volunteers to fulfil current and future service delivery and other functional volunteering opportunities. It is essential for the ongoing and increased support to people with dementia and those who care for them. This role is key to making this happen.
Volunteer co-ordinator
The full Volunteer co-ordinator role is a combination of the Volunteer recruiter and Volunteer supporter role. The service operates from dementia adviser centres, which can be memory clinics or Society services.
