Associate Trainer Scheme

Alzheimer's Society is committed to providing high quality dementia care training.

The Associate Trainer Scheme is a quality assurance scheme which formally recognises the skills and experience of trainers against Alzheimer's Society required standards in delivering high quality person-centred, strengths-based dementia care training.

The Associate Trainer Scheme offers dementia trainers the opportunity to achieve Associate Trainer status at three levels - Bronze, Silver or Gold, and the application process comprises two separate parts: 1) written application at the applicant's chosen level and 2) observation of the applicant delivering dementia training followed by a one to one feedback session.

The level of approval you can apply for will depend on your training experience and skills, as well as your dementia knowledge and experience.

The applicant also agrees to deliver training on behalf of Alzheimer's Society upon achieving either Bronze, Silver or Gold status. The amount of training an Associate Trainer can deliver will be agreed with our Operations Manager and the Associate Trainer will be paid a set fee for delivering this training.

The cost of initial application is £175.00, followed by an annual renewal fee.
