Kent Golfers raise over £25, 000 for Alzheimer's Society - Members of Nizel's Golf & Country Club in Hidenborough, Kent, chose Alzheimer's Society as their charity of the year and raised more than £25, 000 to support people with dementia in their local area.
Fundraising Volunteer conquers Ben Nevis for Alzheimer's Society - Jackie Bennett raised over £7,500 for Alzheimer's Society whilst tackling and conquering Ben Nevis.
MGM Advantage breaks tandem skydiving record in aid of Alzheimer's Society - MGM Advantage, the retirement income specialist, has entered the record books by achieving the most tandem parachute jumps in a day, in aid of Alzheimer's Society.
Memory Walks across the South East region all proved a great success raising even more money than last year with a grand total in excess of £60, 000 (exact totals still to be confirmed). Thank you to all of our supporters who organised their own walks and to those who attended our flagships.
Wentworth Golf day - The beautiful weather just added to the great successes of the day. Everyone had a brilliant time and raised over £17,000 in the process. If you would like to be involved next year, save the date - 9 October 2013.
Cedar Court Care Home holds a balloon launch to mark World Alzheimer's day and also raise funds for Alzheimer's Society, with some balloons turning up as far a-field as Austria.

Local volunteering opportunities

Do you have some time to spare? Everyone has something to contribute to the Society. Volunteering is flexible, ranging from a few hours a year to several hours a week. It's your choice.
