Greater investment in dementia research is essential to provide improved health and care services for people with dementia today, better treatments tomorrow and, ultimately, a cure for dementia.

It is vital to have a more ambitious plan for driving forward dementia research in the UK - but all our political parties need to grasp the mettle and make dementia research a bigger priority.
