Types of volunteering roles
There are many volunteering opportunities across the Alzheimer's Society. We have listed some examples below to help you. If your preferred activity is not listed please still get in touch and we'll try to find a role that suits your interests:
- Administrative support
- Befriending services
- Campaigning activities
- Carer support groups
- Financial guidance and support
- Fundraising
- Information and awareness
- Luncheon clubs, dementia cafes and drop in centres
- PR support
- Media volunteer
- Social activities for people with dementia
- Volunteer coordinator/recruiter/supporter
- Quality Research in Dementia Consumer Network member
- Volunteer at one of our Christmas card shops
Many of our branches also have a branch development committee. These committees form an important part of our local activities. Volunteers typically help with the following roles:
- Chair
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Committee Member
