Younger people with dementia
Although the symptoms of dementia are similar whatever a person's age, younger people with dementia may have different needs.
They may:
- Have dependent children
- Be in work at the time of diagnosis
- Have heavy financial commitments
- Find it difficult to rationalise losing skills at such a young age
- Find it difficult to access appropriate information and support.
The information in these pages is designed for younger people with dementia, their families and their carers
