To mark World Alzheimer’s day the Newcastle branch of the
Alzheimer’s Society will be holding a Memory Walk along
Newcastle’s famous and historic Quayside on Saturday 22
September at 1pm. This is a fundraising and awareness raising
event so we need your support.
This is your chance to walk in memory of - or in support of - a
loved one, whether it's a relative or friend. As well as
celebrating your memories of them, it's also a great way to raise
money to help local people affected by dementia, their carers and
families.
You can walk as an individual or as part of a group with family
or friends. We start our walk from the Newcastle side of the
Millennium Bridge and continue along the Quayside, passing some of
the many bridges spanning the River Tyne to the Business Park in
Elswick and returning back to the Millennium Bridge.
