Inner Wheel supporting Alzheimer's Society

Make a difference
Welcome to the Inner Wheel Great Britain and Ireland and Alzheimer's Society Partnership 2008/2009.
Inner Wheel club members have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of people with dementia and their carers, by getting involved in a whole range of activities throughout the year.
Please get behind new President Myrtle Buchanan's pledge to raise as much money as possible for dementia care and research.
Almost any activity can become a fundraising opportunity. Whether you would like to climb a mountain, organise a pub quiz or open your garden for the day, there is something for everyone.
Get inspired with some ideas from our fundraising section
Host a Birthday Tea Party to raise vital funds and celebrate 30 years of Alzheimer's Society supporting people with dementia and their carers.
Please visit the 'Charities' page of the Inner Wheel website or email innerwheel@alzheimers.org.uk for your Tea Party Fundraising Pack and posters.
Proud to have your support
Alzheimer's Society has a vision of a better, fairer world for people with dementia.
We believe that people with dementia and the people who care for them have the right to high quality services and support.
We work to achieve this through a combination of campaigning, research, awareness raising, training, information provision and the delivery of our own services across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
All your fundraising efforts will go towards supporting people with dementia, to help care for people today and find a cure tomorrow.

Leading the fight against dementia
-
There are 700,000 people with dementia in the UK with numbers set to rise to one million by 2025.
-
Alzheimer's Society provides information and support for people with all forms of dementia and those who care for them.
-
We run services, fund research, advise professionals and campaign for improved social care, greater public understanding and awareness of dementia.
-
Our vision is of a radically improved world for people with dementia. A world, ultimately, where dementia can be defeated.
-
One in three people over 65 will die with dementia.
-
Dementia is not a natural part of getting older; it is caused by diseases of the brain and robs people of their lives.
-
But we need your help -join the fight against dementia.
