Dementia Awards 2016

The Dementia Friendly Awards are an annual celebration of the achievements of individuals, organisations, projects and partnerships in creating dementia-friendly communities around the UK.

The awards recognise the part that everyone has to play in creating safe, friendly and supportive communities for people with dementia, from volunteers and carers to hairdressers and hospitals; schools and sports clubs to community groups and corporations.

This year's award winners offer shining examples of what it means to be Dementia Friendly.  ‚ÄčThese people, projects and organisations have been selected by people living with dementia and their carers and also by industry experts, and represent the very best practice today in creating supportive and safe communities for people with dementia and their loved ones.
